As an abstract artist working with acrylic paint and a variety of surfaces including paper, canvas, and re-purposed cardboard, Anthony Roberts creates several works at the same time.
Ask Anthony why he paints and he will tell you,
“I paint to make the walls pretty.”
He layers the base of his works with swift brushstrokes, using earthy palettes of amber, browns, deep red and calming blues. Occasionally adding paint markers to his toolset, Anthony fills his canvases rapidly with repeated geometric shapes, displaying the visual energy of his motions as he makes his mark.
