Edward Velez

Edward Velez (b.1995) is a self-taught artist who uses his humor as a creative tool to face hardship.

He predominately pulls inspiration from cartoons he watched as a child, saying they remind him of his father. He uses characters from these animations and merges them with his own ideas, creating entirely original figures and imagery.

Using markers, micron pens, and the occasional colored pencil, he has built a wonderful, wacky world of intriguing scenes and personalities.
