Michael Griffith

Michael Griffith (b.1971) is a self-taught artist based in Brooklyn. Drawing inspiration from his own life, Griffith reimagines his family, his neighborhood, and his favorite tv shows and films through abstract depictions. Griffith uses a combination of watercolor, colored pencils, pen, marker, acrylic markers, and pastels to create layered compositions full of depth and vibrancy. His work often incorporates his favorite phrases and quotes weaving in an expressive element to the visual experience of his work.
