Tamia Hester

Tamia Hester (b. 1999) is an artist from Queens, New York who joined ArTech Collective in 2021. Hester began her creative journey by mostly drawing repeated hearts, flowers, and animals in a bright and colorful palette. Later her works developed into more abstract yet subjective matter, such as using what she is wearing as an inspiration for her drawing or making a sketch of an artist whose song is playing at the moment. Tamia’s favorite medium is graphite and colored pencils or pastels, even when working on a canvas. Tamia’s art is full of life and presents elements of motifs that create a unique visual effect within a composition. Her recent works feature a portfolio inspired by Disney Princesses.
