Teresa Harris

Teresa Harris (b.1955) is a self-taught artist that uses abstraction as her visual language. Her drawings are full of organic traced lines with a unique geologic-like style. Harris primarily works with charcoal and graphite pencils, markers, and colored pencils. She enjoys drawing as a meditative process and often says it is her way to “talk” to the –waterfalls-, in reference to her “Waterfalls” series. Her work has been exhibited in various venues and events including the Outsider Art Fair, The Other Art Fair, Cullman Educational Center at MoMA, and others. Harris is currently based in The Bronx.
